Khowarib Lodge offers 14 tented chalets with en-suite facilities, each positioned above the riverbed for elevated views of the Hoanib River. Each unit includes a private bathroom, a work desk, a seating area, and a terrace or balcony. The tents also feature rustic open-air bathrooms that add to the lodge's distinct character.

Dining

The on-site restaurant at Khowarib Lodge Namibia serves African, British, European, and South African cuisines with a kid-friendly buffet and special diet menus available. Guests can order wine or champagne from the bar while dining in the large communal lapa built from local materials. The lodge also offers packed lunches for day trips into the surrounding Kaokoland region.

Activities & Tours

Khowarib Lodge Kaokoland provides in-house guided nature and cultural tours, including desert elephant tracking in the largest population of desert-adapted elephants. Guests can join expert-led guided tours of the Kaokoland and Kunene region, or take nature walks and birding walks through Khowarib Gorge. The lodge also arranges visits to Himba settlements for a cultural experience.

The lodge has an outdoor swimming pool with a view over the riverbed, a bar, and a dining area that opens onto a garden with outdoor furniture. Additional amenities include a children's playground, a designated smoking area, soundproof rooms, and family rooms. Khowarib Lodge also operates a campsite with electricity, shared ablutions, and a braai area for self-catering guests.
